Not really much to say about Mt. Cascade, the route up is well maintained trial up until the ampitheater and then a very well formed trail from that point. For some variety I picked an alternate descent route that let me look over the Banff townsite for a while and carefully cross an old beaver dam in leu of a bridge. As in Kane's description (as well as on other sites) scout out to make sure that the last bit of elevation is snow free before setting out or traversing to the summit may be exceedingly foolish! All in all Cascade is a nice scramble but don't expect to be alone it is quite popular.
