This day started with planning to bag both Mount Wilcox and Nigel Peak back to back but was eventually changed to only Wilcox due to spurts of rain (the slabs up Nigel seemed quite treacherous when wet). I made it up on the ridge about an hour before sunrise and camped out at the proper summit to get some pictures right as the sun was passing over the distant ridgelines. Kane's description for the route is quite good and I even came across the view “clear down to the road” which Kane mentions. The view of the icefields is quite spectacular.
